May - 9 days late!

But I do have the best excuse ever in that I have just moved house...

April - 4 Days late again...

I didn't forget this time. I've been busy with baby Celeste but here, finally, is April.

Sorry about the delay in posting March if you were expecting it. I have a very good excuse in that my baby daughter was born on 28th Feb and I kind of forgot to post it....

February - one day early

With February starting tomorrow, here is a coloured version for the calendar. Grey, basically. But if you feel inspired by the weather and it snows, you can leave it white!

I found myself staring at Sunrise with Sea Monsters by Turner. I'd forgotten that I had seen it at Nottingham Contemporary over the summer and was reminded of it by an newspaper article. Here is the result of the inspiration:

Back to some drawing

With my last few posts being a bit designy, I thought I better get back to some drawing. This is the copse on the outcrop, scene of the attempted suicide of Lt Col W.J. Snodgrass in 1876 upon the discovery of the infidelities of a lover. The bid was thwarted by the foul, stagnant pool at the base of the outcrop which Snodgrass could not bring himself to pass. Leaving his rope, he went home for supper and lived to the ripe old age of 94.

Day Length Calendar

This is something that has been gnawing at me for at least 8 years and I have finally got round to producing it. In a way it is completely pointless but it is something that nonetheless piques my interest. It is not perfect by any means as I'm sure any astronomer worth their salt would pick it to pieces. But then it is not meant to be, as for one thing, it would be extremely difficult to achieve graphically. Well it might not be to someone else but I just can't be arsed....

It might be a bit small to see it in detail so I'll try and work out how to get a PDF of it on here

Lady Bay Festival - 7th September

Got to do some promotional material for the Lady Bay Festival on the 7th September. Castle Rock are brewing a beer for the occasion so I did some beer mats and the beer pump label.

Halves all the way...

Went on a stag pub crawl on Saturday. Got off the lines a few times but it only made the hangover worse.
